How do you grow your inner well-being?  These community classes at Clear Sky center help you develop a stronger meditation practice.

Join us for Meditation Circle, Thursday nights (7:00-8:00pm MST) in person, at Clear Sky Center.

These classes run throughout the year. This current series of classes will be led by Karen McAllister from June 8th to July 6th 2023. We encourage you to attend all classes but drop-ins are also welcome.

Class series topic: Six Important Mental States

How would you like to avoid and solve problems? Or let go of disturbing emotions and mental states. Perhaps empower yourself to be of the best help to others.

This 5-week series as part of Clear Sky’s Meditation Circle classes is for anyone looking to train to develop positive attitudes and to reach the far shore of the ocean of our problems.

This is an introduction to the 6 important mental states that we need to develop if we want to reach any of our positive goals in life.

These six far-reaching attitudes are states of mind that lead the way to liberation and enlightenment. As antidotes to some of our biggest mental obstacles – anger, greed, jealousy, laziness and so on – the six attitudes work together, enabling us to deal with everything that life throws at us. By developing these attitudes, we can slowly but certainly realize our full potential, bringing the highest benefit to ourselves and others.

In this series, in each session, we’ll meditate together, and explore:

  • Generosity
  • Ethical Self-Discipline
  • Patience
  • Perseverance
  • Mental Stability (Concentration)
  • Discriminating Awareness (Wisdom)
